Education & Fantasy

I would argue that educational games are less consumed due to the fact that in general, most people do not look to games when trying to learn.  Educational games also tend to be aimed at the youngest generations of learners.  I suspect educational games would be more popular if (at this level) games were designed for a specific course and were related to the course objectives.  So, why aren’t there games being designed alongside textbooks, or simply replacing textbooks with games?
